How many people have followed a forbidden fantasy into the dark, and found themselves imprisoned by what they were doomed to desire? And how can someone become so obsessed with a fantasy that they completely abandon all common-sense and reason? I asked myself those questions as I looked at the husband moaning on the floor, the wife quivering, shaking her head and as I contemplated my own predicament.

The men descended the stairs and stood in silence, they eyed the woman standing cuffed and trembling in her white silk slip. There were 5 of them. They exuded violence and smelled of strong drink. The husband moaned, catching their attention. Evelyn took a position out of the way, her back to the wall. The Gothic Girl motioned with her head for me to stand by Evelyn. The men walked over to look at the husband. One of the men vomited at the sight of the man‘s mutilated genitals. Another turned to the Gothic Girl and exclaimed, “Y’all fucked this motherrfucka up!”

The Gothic Girl didn’t speak. She turned away and took a seat at the bottom of the stairs. The men huddled around the wife; touching, groping, squeezing, probing. They tore off her slip and unhooked the chain from her cuffs. The woman tensed but she didn’t resist. They removed the ball gag. The only sound that came from between her lips was rapid, deep breaths. The men started talking amongst themselves, joking, laughing, making degrading references to the woman.

One of the men looked over at the Gothic Girl and asked, “Can we take the cuffs off?” She shook her head. The man turned back to the woman and ordered her to get on her knees. The woman complied. He unzipped his pants, pulled out his cock and brushed it against the wife’s lips. She took it in her mouth and sucked; her head moving back and forth. I looked at the husband shriveled, naked and bleeding on the floor. He wasn’t moaning anymore. He watched intently as his wife kneeled helpless in a circle of men, sucking another man’s cock. I couldn’t believe it. There was no empathy, rage, horror or anguish in the husband’s eyes. What I saw in his eyes made me have to question everything I previously thought I knew about human nature. When I looked into his eyes I saw…delight.

Evelyn whispered in my ear, “I wish these assholes would cut through the courtship and just fuck her in the ass.” I wondered how long Evelyn had been with the Gothic Girl before going off the deep end. I wondered what all she had endured. Evelyn noticed the husband. Her eyes narrowed, her face turned red. She said, “You like that huh? You like that you perverted piece of shit?” The husband looked at Evelyn. The Gothic Girl stood up. One of the men, the tallest of the group, turned and gave Evelyn a concerned look. He shook his head and mouthed “No”. Evelyn did not notice. Some door deep inside her had been opened, allowing her to step out of herself and forget the intricacies of the moment. Evelyn spoke louder, “You make me sick! This is YOUR fantasy not hers!” I grabbed her hand and squeezed it hard. She tore it away and moved toward the husband. The tall man kept watching Evelyn, the rest stood still, dicks in hand, with their eyes locked on the woman as she sucked their friends dick. Then, all hell broke loose.

Evelyn pulled the pistol from her pocket and shot the husband 3 times in the head. Everything stopped. All eyes were on Evelyn. The wife rose to her feet, staggered toward her husband and screamed in Evelyn’s face, “You sick fuckin’ bitch…” Another, louder shot deafened us. I saw the side of Evelyn’s head come off. I saw the brain matter splatter on the wall. A thin stream of smoke rose from the barrel of the Gothic Girl’s gun.

The Gothic Girl grabbed the wife by the hair, brought her back to the circle and threw the handcuffed woman to the ground. She landed flat on her face with a sickening crack. The Gothic Girl held her revolver to one of the men’s head, cocked the hammer and pointed at the wife. The tall man said, “Fuck her nigga, shit!” The man quickly undid his pants and got on top of the woman. The other four men backed toward the stairs. I went over and got Evelyn’s gun.

One of the men said, ‘Fuck this, I’m getting out of here.” He looked to his partners for agreement and support. The room was filled with thunder once again. The man stood there for awhile before he fell, his eyes crossed downward as if he was trying to peer into the large hole right next to his nose. I pointed Evelyn’s pistol at the other three men at the foot of the stairs. They raised their hands. The fucking man stopped fucking and screamed out “Shit! Shit!” The Gothic Girl kicked him in the ribs.

Robert appeared at the top of the stairs. He pumped the 12-gauge that he held in his hands. The sound brought out a facial tick in one of the men’s faces. The fucking man stopped, got up and pulled up his pants. The Gothic Girl pointed at the man with the facial tick, then pointed at the wife. I looked at the bodies of Evelyn and the husband. They laid side-by-side. I wondered if Evelyn had lost her mind, or if she knew the outcome and viewed it as her only means of escape.

The man with the facial tick came quick, he took his place next to his friends even quicker. The Gothic Girl pointed at the men, then at a corner behind the bondage table. The four men all moved to the corner. She grabbed a handful of the woman’s hair and pulled her to her feet. Then she motioned for me to follow and led the woman up the stairs. When I got to the top of the stairs, she closed the door behind me and locked it. She said, “Wipe off that gun and leave it here. Wipe it off good.” I followed her example and wiped off the pistol with my shirt, then dropped it on floor.

The woman just clenched her jaw and stared at the Gothic Girl with wide, pleading eyes. The Gothic Girl pulled her mask and goggles off. She looked the woman in the eyes and asserted: “If you make one fucking sound, my friend is going to blow your face off with that shotgun. If I have to tell you to do something more than once, I cut something off.” She held a knife under the woman’s nose. “Are we clear?” The woman pressed her lips together, wrinkled her brow and gave a slight nod. After putting the woman in the trunk, the Gothic Girl, Robert and I all got in the car, exited the garage and melted into the darkness.

I got lost in the sights and sounds of the freeway at night. The red tail-lights, the horns, the line of headlights that appear as an endless beaded, river of white light. I asked out loud, “Why did we bring the woman with us?”

She solemnly replied, “I lost Evelyn.”

“What does that have to do with the woman in the trunk?”

She lit a cigarette. “I need someone to take her place.”

I sat quietly and let those words sink in. The shotgun was covered with a blanket under my feet. Would I be quick enough to grab it, point it and shoot in the confines of the back seat? I sat behind Gothic Girl. I figured I could probably get a shot off on Robert in the driver’s seat. However, we would have crashed on the freeway with a handcuffed woman in the trunk. More importantly, I wouldn’t have been able to get the gun on the Gothic Girl before she sliced my neck open.

She turned in her seat to look at me. She slowly shook her head. She stared at me while she took long, slow drags off her cigarette. “I’m going to drop you off someplace safe.”

My heart pounded as panic set in. ’What do you mean you’re dropping me off? I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“You’re doing something wrong right now. I do not have time to deal with you right now and I need to know where you are and what you’re doing at all times. I’ll come back for you in awhile.”

“Where…”

“Don’t worry about that Clarence. I’ll be leaving you with my family and close friends. They’ll take care of you and you’ll have a good time. And when I come back to get you, I won’t have to worry about your whining and stupid fucking questions anymore. The way I see it, I can either kill you or send you to stay with my family for awhile. What do you want to do? Do you want to die or do you want to sit back, shut the fuck up and follow the path I’ve laid out for you?”

“I want to follow the path you’ve laid out for me.”

“That’s good. It’s the path that leads to life. You’ll like the place I’m taking you, there will be some pretty girls there.” The Gothic Girl and Robert looked at each other and started laughing hysterically.

The intensity of the moment prevented me from having any coherent thoughts. The only thing I knew then was “sit back, shut the fuck up and follow”. I took comfort in that. It was as if I had slid out of my body, sat in the seat next to myself, then sat observing myself in the same impersonal manner that I’d observe a stranger. Just “sit back, shut the fuck up and follow”.

“Had I known then what I know now.” I would have took my chances with the gun. At that time, I didn’t have the presence of mind to realize that she would be leaving me with the people who created her. Yes, there would be “some pretty girls there”; and lunacy and cruelty and evil. I was on my way to a monster factory.
