The Duchess ordered the twins to tie up Chris. Antigone dragged Theresa’s body out of the kitchen. The man in the attic, tied to the cross, sobbed and uttered anguished and unintelligible phrases. The sound of his voice alone expressed his hopeless condition. The blood that covered The Duchess’ naked body was cracked and dried. She said, “Clarence, follow me upstairs. I need a bath.”

I drew her water. I held her hand as she stepped into the tub. I marveled at he way her feet reddened the water and wondered if The Duchess corrupted everything she touched. When the tub was full, she submerged herself; disappearing beneath the pink and white bubbles. The stillness of the water was unsettling, knowing a predator lurked unseen beneath the surface.

Her upper-body emerged from the water like the head of a demonic red serpent. I reached down between her feet and pulled the plug. The Duchess shook her head, “No, once is enough. I just want to be able to say that I put my mark on Lavinia’s boy.” She then motioned toward the door with her head. Antigone and the twins left, closing the door behind them. The Duchess sat down, straddling my hips. I felt the heat of her naked pussy through my pants.
