When I returned to Black Sally’s quarters, Brianna was sitting on the bed reading a novel. Sally sat at the table with a laptop. I went to Sally and whispered in her ear, “Lavinia says you’re supposed to show me how to make Brianna scream.”

Sally closed her laptop and stood up, “Brianna, come here.” She pulled a pair of handcuffs from a pocket in her laptop case. When Brianna got to the table, Sally told her to take off her robe. Brianna complied. Sally cuffed her hands behind her back. Then she put her laptop away and started toward the door. I asked, “Where are you going?”

“You can figure out how to torture her on your own Clarence. Just don’t mess up her face.” Then she walked out the door.

Brianna asked, “Are you supposed to punish me?”

“Yes.”

“Listen, Clarence, you seem like a good guy. I’m guessing that you don’t really want to do this. You’re doing what you’ve been ordered to do. I understand and respect that. But we can do this in a way that doesn’t leave me with any damage.”

I heard Lavinia’s voice in my mind, “Alright slave, I’ll walk you through this. Tell her that you’re on the same page. Tell her that if she experiences more pain than she can handle, you want her to say Lavinia.”

Brianna gave me a bewildered look when I told her, “My safeword is Lavinia?”

Lavinia said, “There is a toolbox under the sink. Go get it.”

Brianna’s eyes widened when I set the toolbox on the table, “What do you need from the toolbox?”

“Grab her by the hair and slam her face first on the table.”

“Hit her in the face with the hammer and tell her to shut the fuck up.”

The blow knocked her off the table. She laid on the floor bleeding and crying.

“Get the box-cutter and the flat-head screwdriver. Then sit on her stomach. Cut her nipples off with the box-cutter.”

Brianna screamed until her voice went hoarse and failed her.

“Take the flathead screwdriver. Place the tip of the screwdriver at the corner of her eye, slide it under her lower lid. Then use the screwdriver to pop her eye out. Use the boxcutter to cut that shit attached to her eyeball.”

Brianna shouted, shrieked and convulsed.

“Now do the other eye.”

I felt the barrel of a gun pressed to my temple. Black Sally said, “Clarence did you hear the part about not messing up her face?” I turned and saw the gun raised in the air, then everything went black.

I woke up in the room I was originally assigned. My head pounded. Dried blood covered the side of my face. There was a bump almost as big as a baseball on the side of my head. Lenore opened the door, “It’s almost time for lunch.”

“Can I talk to you for a minute?”

She shut the door and sat on the bed, “What?”

“Why did you warn me about Black Sally?”

“Because she hates the woman that brought you here.”

“I don’t believe you.”

“You don’t know what to believe. In this house, it’s when you think you’ve figured out what’s really going on; that’s when they bend you over a desk and fuck you.”

“I’m sor…”

“Don’t apologize. I hope you enjoyed it. You paid a heavy price.”

“How long have you been here?”

“A couple years.”

“How did you get here?”

“I met the woman who brought you here at a club. I stayed with her for awhile, then she dropped me off here.”

“The Gothic Girl brought you here?”

“Yes. Just like she brought you here.”

“Did she say she was coming back for you?”

“Yeah, she said she’d be back in a couple months.”

“And that was two years ago? How did the Dominatrix get here?”

“How do you think?”

“The Gothic Girl brought her here.”

“That’s great detective work Sherlock.”

“Selene?”

“Selene, Isabel, Atrese; they were all brought here by her. You might want to wash your face before you go to the table. I’ll see you there.” She got up and left.

As I washed up in the bathroom, I tried to figure out what my situation really was. I assumed that Antonija, Lavinia and Black Sally were the only ones who weren’t brought to the house by the Gothic Girl. Antonija’s actual role in things was unclear. Lavinia’s role, on the other hand, was brutally clear. Black Sally obviously held a position of power in the house. I assumed the Gothic Girl’s status was equal to, or greater than, Black Sally’s. But what was her status in relation to Lavinia? I remembered Brianna screaming, “LAVINIA! LAVINIA! LAVINIA!” My mind was filled with the image of Lavinia in her war-paint.

I tried not to think about how much power she had over my thoughts. She had the ability to use my own mind as a weapon against me. She could reach into the depths of my subconscious and release the demons I kept imprisoned there. The demons inside me whose existence I would occasionally sense, then quickly deny.

I went to the dining room and took my seat at the table. Black Sally leaned over and whispered in my ear, “Clarence, Brianna is my possession. I should have shoved a baseball bat up your ass, cut your nipples off and took your eye when you were knocked out. I didn’t because I like you. But you will still pay a price for damaging my possession. I either take your ass just like you took Brianna‘s and Lenore‘s, or I can pop your eye out. It’s your choice. Strap-on or screwdriver? Your asshole or your eye?”

I whispered, “Strap-on.”

“I’ll see you in your quarters after lunch.” I glanced over at Lenore, she grinned.
